Mission Statement
A Step Higher is not just a Christian T-Shirt, It is a preparation for the return of Jesus Christ. When the High Priest in the fifth book of the Bible - Deuteronomy wore the Priestly garments of the Ephod, the Mitre, and the Breastplate, it was the roll of the High priest to offer gifts and sacrifices for the sins of the people. He was the mediator Between God and the people. God would judge the people because of sin. The High Priest would stand in their place and offer a sacrifice that satisfied God’s justice and demonstrated His mercy by killing an innocent animal (lamb) in place of a guilty human being.
These sacrifices were only a shadow of things to come: The High Priest entering into the tabernacle from the outer court to the most Holy Place where the Spirit of God dwelt was symbolic of Jesus shedding His blood on the cross and entering into heaven (the Most Holy Place) to obtain eternal forgiveness for our sins and purge our conscience from dead works to serve the Living God. When God would look down at the High Priest and He saw the 12 tribes inscribed on the Ephod of the High Priest, God remembered His covenant with the people.
The old covenant was to obey God by keeping his laws, commandments, and statutes. According to the Tora, or the first five books of the Bible, thats 613 laws, and in return God blessed and protected the people. This covenant was Impossible to keep, by the law was the knowledge of sin, the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto christ, so the system of sacrifices and burnt offerings had to continue.
When Jesus, the Son of God, the Lamb of God, without spot or blemish was nailed to the cross He was the perfect sacrifice, and a new covenant. This is the new covenant. I will put my laws in their minds and write them in their hearts, and I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people and they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying know the Lord: for all shall know me; from the least to the greatest for I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and inequities will I remember no more.
The Holy Garments are a sign of the return of Jesus, of obedience, of praise, of worship, we are all priests. The Holy Garments are a symbol of faith, and the end of all the injustice in the world. We look forward to the return of Jesus (God in the flesh) and we glorify His return. God is looking for a suitable place and people for His return. The Bible says a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it should be holy and without blemish. We say Jesus we remember!
