Take up your Cross Inspirational T-Shirt

Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the Gospel’s the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8: 34-36  In the world that we live in today its very popular to be #1, bold, a bully, aggressive, take over, show no mercy, tough, bad, hard, but the truth is this kind of thinking leads only to conflict, pain, suffering, war and death. Nobody will win.

But God created the world to work this way: If a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults ye take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not;  but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.   1 Peter 2: 19-23

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called that you should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days. let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers. But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are you: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.  1Peter 3: 9-12, 14

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For we were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls. 1Peter 2: 24-25  In other words Jesus suffered for us we should suffer for one another.
